Please call our office Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and
5 p.m. if you have any questions regarding your appointment, test
results, or any bills from our office. If we are not able to answer
your question immediately, we will return your call as soon as possible.
Sick
calls
If you have a medical problem and need advice from your doctor,
please call our office Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. and
5:00 p.m. A registered nurse will gather more information and work
closely with your physician to answer your questions and meet your
needs as soon as possible.
Emergencies
You may call our office with an urgent problem 24 hours a day, seven
days a week, at 412-648-6161. After 5 p.m. and on weekends and holidays,
your call will be answered by our answering service. The service
will put you in contact with your physician or the physician-on-call
if needed. If you have a true medical emergency, you should go to
the nearest emergency room.
Hospital
Referrals
Physicians, patients, or families seeking transfer from another
hospital to our hospital should contact us through UPMC
MedCall at 412-647-7000. The referral coordinators are specially
trained to locate or call the physician promptly, and deal with
the special complexity of hospital transfers.
