Patient Services
Pulmonary
Rehabilitation
Patients with lung disease often benefit from participation
in a specialized exercise and education program known as pulmonary
rehabilitation. Our program is part of the Comprehensive Lung Center,
located on the fourth floor of the Falk Medical Building. The Pulmonary
Rehabilitation program provides a thorough, six-week acute intervention
for patients with impaired lung function. The goal is to improve
patients’ overall function and increase their ability to perform
regular daily activities without experiencing shortness of breath.

Smoking
Cessation
The
Division's physicians support the UPMC Wellness Program smoking
cessation intervention. This comprehensive program combines pharmacologic
therapy with behavioral medicine approaches to accomplish a successful
outcome and is modeled after a nationally recognized program developed
by PACCM physicians.
